Send transactional emails via SMTP Relay using template

If you're sending a large email frequently using HTML, you will loose a lot of bandwidth during the data transfer, but Taximail has the way to reduce your bandwidth by creating some HTML tips on Taximail and running HTML through Template ID, which has the following steps.

Create and send an email with a Text Custom value template

To create and send an email with a text custom value template, follow these steps:

  • Set up Email Gateway application
  • Create template in Taximail
  • Create email using templates and custom value

Set up Email Gateway application

To set up email gateway application, follow these steps:

  1. Set the SMTP Server on your application to smtp.taximail.com.
  2. Set encrypted TLS connections and specify Port 587.
  3. Specify the SMTP Username and SMTP Password that can be viewed from your Taximail account. Select Settings on the main menu, select Transactional.

Create template in Taximail

To create template in Taximail, follow these steps:

  1. Login to Taximail.
  2. Select Templates on the main menu.
  3. Select Emails.
  4. Click the plus sign (+) at the bottom right corner.

  1. Choose to create a Transactional Template and click the Next button.

  1. Select to create a Start from Scratch layout, or select the other options:
    • Pre-Designed create a template from theme provided by Taximail.
    • Recents create a template from you recently send.
    • Saved templates create a template from your template.
    • Paste in code create a template from HTML code.

  1. Drag and drop the "Text" content block into the layout template. Then place the mouse cursor where you want to insert dynamic content.

  1. Click the { } icon at the block settings toolbar, select the Specify custom tag....

  1. Specify the custom value name in accordance with the dynamic content you use.

  1. When the design is finished. Click the Next button at the top right corner.
  2. Specify the name of the template you want, and click the Create button to save the template

Note: The custom value used in the Taximail must start with {%CF_ and end with %}, such as {%CF_Firstname%} and {%CF_Promocode%}.

Create email using templates and custom value

To create email using templates and custom value, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Application then click Compose new message.
  2. Configure Email Header and the Email Body sections.
    • To specify the email's recipient.
    • Subject specify the variable value {X-Taximail-Template-Key|:|Template ID} to retrieve the desired template and specify the subject email as well.
    • Email body specify the custom value to match the value contained in the template, followed by the dynamic content of the custom value.

  1. Click on send email
  2. The email recipients will receive an email with a different content according to the specified custom value.
